History of the Church

Our church was founded on 17 June 1990 by a group of Koreans, and today, in 2023, we have a diverse people of believers from Australia, China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, living as one family in Jesus.

2024년 주제

2024년은 고후 11장 5절 ~10절 말씀을 기초로

‘"너희를 높이려고 나를 낮추어 복음을 값없이 전함" ‘을 주제로 정하였습니다. “...for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge"

고후 (2 Corinthians) 11:5 ~ 10

저희 교회는 1990년 6월 17일 설립된 교회입니다.

처음 Castle Hill 에서 시드니 평화교회란 이름으로 시작되었고 1992년 4월19일 부활주일에 록데일 교회와 시드니 평화교회가 하나로 통합되어 록데일 평화교회란 이름으로 개명하였습니다.

2003년 1월 15일에는 사우스 허스트빌 지역 (Cnr King georges Rd & Culwulla st south Hurstville NSW 2221)으로 교회를 옮기면서 ‘허스트빌 평화교회’로 다시 개명하고 2010년 7월부터는 아래와 같은 가치를 가지고 주님을 섬깁니다.

2019년 3월 부로 UCA (Uniting Church in Australia )를 탈퇴 하므로

허스트빌 평강교회로 개명하였습니다.

2023년 2월 1일 부터 Bexley (29 Gladstone St Bexley NSW 2207 NSW 2221)로 이전 하였습니다

Our church was founded on June 17, 1990.
It first started in Castle Hill under the name of Sydney Pyung hwa Church, and on Easter Sunday, April 19, 1992, Rockdale Church and Sydney Pyung hwa Church were merged into one and renamed as Rockdale Pyung hwa Church.
On February 1, 2013 the church moved to the location in Bexley (29 Gladstone St Bexley NSW 2207 NSW 2221) and was renamed thereafter as 'Hurstville Pyung hwa (peace) Church'.
As of March 2019 our church has withdrawn from the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) and its name was changed to Hurstville Pyounggang (peace) Church.

1. A church that gives birth to churches and evangelizes and raises disciples of Christ Jesus(Act 1:8)
- 30 churches planting vision; ( Mark 16:15-19 )
2. A church that trains its members to become disciples of Christ Jesus

( Matt 28:19-20 )
- Worship, Evangelism, bible study, pray, mission for the world
3. A church that passes on Bible faith to the next generation

4. A church that prepares and makes straight the way of the Lord
